Wallpaper - Abstract Stems VII

Created in collaboration with Cheryl Warrick, our Abstract Stems VII wallpaper brings together bold botanical shapes and an understated graphic grid. A stylized floral bloom in vibrant magenta and bright pink extends with petal-like forms across curving, winding olive green stems and leaves, set against a dark textured background with subtle linear grid lines. The contrast between organic curves and geometric structure gives this design an expressive, modern character. Produced as made-to-measure wallpaper, it is printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface texture and is straightforward to hang.

In the room

We see this wallpaper working particularly well on a main feature wall where the distinct graphic silhouette can be appreciated in full. In a living room or dining room, positioning the mural wallpaper behind a low sideboard or sofa allows the upper bloom and sweeping stem work to remain prominent. For a bedroom, placing it behind the headboard creates an artistic focal point that anchors the space without overwhelming it. The dark background provides visual depth, while the vivid pink and fresh green elements introduce an energetic focal point on an uninterrupted wall.

Styling it

To balance the bold graphic quality of the design, we suggest pairing it with clean-lined furniture and restrained accent pieces. Low-profile seating or minimalist cabinetry in dark charcoal, black, or natural deep wood tones will harmonise naturally with the dark backdrop. Introducing matte ceramics, sculptural lighting, or simple linen upholstery helps maintain a modern, uncluttered feel while letting the wallpaper carry the pattern and color in the room.

Colour combinations

The design is built around a striking contrast between the intense magenta and pink of the flower petals, earthy olive green foliage, and a dark brown or near-black charcoal background marked by faint grid lines. On adjacent walls, deep charcoal or muted olive paint can create an intimate, cohesive atmosphere. If you prefer a brighter surrounding space, pairing the wallpaper with soft off-white or light warm grey walls allows the saturated pink and green tones to stand out with clarity.
