Wallpaper - Clay and Sky II

Our Clay and Sky II wallpaper by Nikita Jariwala presents an open, scenic landscape with a distinct painterly character. The composition balances earthy canyon rock formations in warm terracotta, clay, and sand against a soft, pale expanse of water and a luminous light blue sky. Broad brushstrokes and visible canvas texture give the artwork a calm, expressive presence without overwhelming the room. As with all our wall murals, the design is made to measure to your exact wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper structure, making it straightforward to hang.

In the room

Because of the broad horizontal horizon and open sky, we see this mural wallpaper working particularly well on a wide, uninterrupted wall where the full expanse of the landscape can unfold. In a living room behind a low sofa, or in a bedroom behind a headboard, the motif creates an airy focal point without competing with the surrounding space. It also brings a grounded, natural feel to a home office or dining room, especially in rooms with good natural daylight that highlights the soft shifts between the warm earth tones and pale blue water.

Styling it

We recommend letting the natural palette of the wallpaper guide the rest of the interior. Pairing it with low-profile furniture in warm woods or muted neutral upholstery keeps the sightline across the painted horizon clear. Terracotta pottery, unbleached textiles, and simple matte ceramics echo the mineral character of the cliff formations nicely, while keeping the overall room calm and uncrowded.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built on warm clay browns, dusty terracotta, soft sand, muted river greens, and airy sky blues. For adjacent painted walls and woodwork, warm off-whites, pale stone, or soft sandy beiges create a seamless transition. If you want to introduce deeper accent colours through furniture or textiles, earthy rust tones, warm ochre, or a quiet slate blue pick up the natural pigment shades in the artwork without clashing.
