Wallpaper - Blooming Americana II

Our Blooming Americana II wallpaper by Laura Marshall brings together a charming patchwork composition inspired by folk quilt traditions. At the heart of the design sits a decorative framed central panel featuring hand-lettered calligraphy that reads "Land THAT I Love", surrounded by delicate floral sprigs and a scalloped floral border. Framing this centerpiece is a grid of quilt-like patterns showcasing varied motifs: geometric quilt blocks, bow ribbons with stripes and stars, diagonal star patterns, floral calico prints, and detailed blooming botanicals in rich shades of denim blue, navy, rustic red, soft pink, and warm off-white. Like all our wallpapers, this mural design is custom made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, making it straightforward to hang.

In the room

Because of its strong focal centerpiece and patchwork framework, we see this wall mural working particularly well as an accent wall where the full composition can be enjoyed without heavy disruption. In an entryway, family room, dining space, or guest bedroom, placing it behind a lower bench, dining table, or headboard keeps the central lettering and surrounding patchwork panels visible. The balanced combination of smaller geometric repeats and lively florals gives it plenty of visual variety, allowing it to anchor a room while feeling cozy and welcoming.

Styling it

When styling around this design, we suggest leaning into classic, cottage, or relaxed country-inspired elements that complement its folk-art character.

• Pair with warm, natural wood finishes or painted furniture in creamy white, muted navy, or soft blue to reflect the panel shades.
• Keep surrounding textiles relatively simple, choosing solid cotton or woven textures that let the wallpaper carry the decorative pattern.
• Incorporate simple ceramic accents or traditional decorative details that resonate with the crafted quilt motif.

Colour combinations

The design is built around a patriotic yet muted palette of denim blue, deep navy, barn red, dusty pink, and soft off-white. For surrounding walls, trim, and cabinetry, a warm antique white or creamy linen tone creates a bright and seamless transition. If you want a more grounded look, drawing out the deeper navy or a soft dusty blue for painted woodwork or accent furniture pairs beautifully with the framed lettering and calico panels.
