Wallpaper - Good Morning Cup

Our Good Morning Cup wallpaper brings a painterly still life to the wall, centered on a cobalt blue ceramic cup and saucer with a silver spoon resting across the rim. Painted by Kate Jarvik Birch, the design pairs bold gouache-like brushstrokes and crisp white light reflections with a muted grey-blue background. The graphic scale and rich blue tones give this piece a distinct presence that works beautifully as an accent in a kitchen or breakfast nook. Like all Wallism wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure to fit your wall dimensions, printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, and designed to be straightforward to hang.

In the room

We love seeing this wall mural used where morning routines unfold, particularly in a kitchen, dining area, or coffee corner. Because the composition is a focused, large-scale still life, it works best on an accent wall where the entire motif can be seen without being heavily obscured by tall cabinets or oversized appliances. Placing it near a dining table or above a low kitchen sideboard gives the cup and saucer the spotlight, while the calm background tone keeps the room feeling balanced.

Styling it

To complement the rich cobalt ceramic and clean painted style, we would pair this design with simple, functional materials. Natural light wood furniture, such as birch or pale ash, brings warmth that balances the cool blue tones without competing for visual attention. For surrounding surfaces and hardware, brushed stainless steel or chrome connects naturally with the painted silver spoon in the artwork, reinforcing a clean, contemporary kitchen aesthetic.

Colour combinations

The design is anchored by deep cobalt and ultramarine blues, contrasted with bright white highlights, charcoal shadows, and a soft, muted grey-blue backdrop. On adjacent walls, a soft off-white or a very pale grey-blue allows the vivid cup to stand out cleanly. If you prefer deeper contrast, navy or slate blue accents on lower cabinetry or chairs create a cohesive, deliberate palette throughout the space.
