Wallpaper - Crystal Reflection

In our Crystal Reflection wallpaper, created by artist Kate Jarvik Birch, a solitary white rowboat floats on vibrant, sunlit water. The painted artwork captures the movement of clear turquoise and deep blue ripples, balanced by the warm wooden tones of the oars and the dark, rhythmic shadow cast beneath the hull. The painterly brushstrokes give the motif a relaxed, artistic presence across a wall. Produced made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper structure, our mural wallpapers bring a distinct sense of open water and coastal calm into the home.

In the room

We see this design working particularly well as an accent wall in a living room, dining area, or bedroom where the full composition has space to unfold. Because the boat and its deep blue shadow form a clear focal point amidst the surrounding water, the mural benefits from an open wall behind a sofa, a dining table, or a low bedframe where the central subject remains largely unobstructed. In a study or guest bedroom, the cool aquamarine tones create a tranquil, expansive atmosphere that visually opens up the space.

Styling it

To complement the coastal and artistic character of the design, we suggest pairing it with furniture in warm, mid-tone wood or painted white finishes that echo the materials seen in the rowboat itself. Keeping surrounding furniture lines relatively clean and low-profile ensures the water ripples remain the main visual feature of the room. Light, unpatterned fabrics for upholstery and window treatments work best to maintain a breezy, uncluttered aesthetic without competing with the painted textures.

Colour combinations

The palette of our wallpaper is defined by vivid turquoise, cerulean, deep navy, and seafoam green, contrasted by warm cedar brown in the wooden oars and crisp white along the boat's edges. For surrounding painted walls and woodwork, we recommend soft off-whites, gentle sand tones, or pale seafoam hues that harmonize with the lighter water highlights. If you prefer a richer, more enveloping feel, pulling out the deep navy of the boat's shadow for adjacent walls or trim creates a striking, balanced contrast.
