Wallpaper - Branch Study I

Created by Krystal Adams, our Branch Study I wallpaper captures flowering branches painted with a soft, expressive touch against an inky black ground. The delicate blossoms feature dabs of creamy white, pale pink, muted blue, and warm ochre, set along slender terracotta-toned branches with muted green leaves. The painterly brushwork and high visual contrast give the motif an intimate, artistic character. Made to measure for your wall dimensions, this PVC-free wallpaper introduces a striking floral composition that brings depth and visual warmth to any room.

In the room

The dramatic dark background creates a grounded, enveloping atmosphere, making this design particularly compelling for a bedroom or an intimate dining room. Placed on an accent wall behind a bedhead or framing a dining table, the blossoms stand out with clear contrast against the deep charcoal-black ground. Because the floral elements are clustered along organic branches rather than tightly packed, the composition breathes well across larger walls without overwhelming the surrounding space. In a hallway or a quiet study, it creates an immediate sense of character while remaining visually balanced.

Styling it

We recommend pairing this design with furniture that echoes its warm, natural elements. Furniture in warm woods like walnut or mid-toned oak connects naturally with the terracotta tones in the branches, while upholstered seating in soft oatmeal, linen, or muted rose complements the blossom palette.

Keeping surrounding decor relatively clean and sculptural allows the hand-painted character of the wallpaper to remain the focal point. Matte black accents or muted ceramic pieces work well to reinforce the depth of the dark background without competing for attention.

Colour combinations

The design is anchored by a deep charcoal-black base, brightened by creamy white, petal pink, soft dusty blue, ochre yellow, and olive green, woven together with warm russet branches.

For adjacent walls and woodwork, muted off-whites and warm stone tones create a soft, balanced contrast against the dark background. If you prefer a richer palette, deep charcoal paint on surrounding trim creates a seamless, immersive look, while accents in muted blush, olive, or terracotta pick up the subtle floral details.
