Wallpaper - Chromatic Fields II

Created by June Erica Vess, our Chromatic Fields II wallpaper captures an impressionistic, painted landscape layered with expressive brushstrokes and rhythmic color. Broad horizontal sweeps of emerald green, deep teal, coral pink, and sunny yellow suggest rolling fields reaching toward a distant horizon under a pale lavender sky. Along the lower foreground, dense dabs of blush, marigold, and soft blue evoke a lush meadow of wildflowers. We make all our wallpapers made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, giving the vivid painterly texture room to fill your wall naturally.

In the room

Because the composition builds upward from a dense floral foreground to broader horizontal bands, we particularly like this design on a main wall where its full height can be appreciated. In a living room or dining area, placing it behind a lower sofa or dining table keeps the foreground blooms visible while allowing the sweeping landscape to open up the room visually. The expressive color palette also works wonderfully in a bedroom behind a headboard or along an entryway wall, where the lively interplay of teal, pink, and yellow creates an inviting, artful focal point.

Styling it

To let the dynamic painterly character of the wallpaper take center stage, we suggest balancing the space with quiet, grounded furniture choices. Simple silhouettes in natural, warm woods or painted finishes prevent the room from feeling crowded, allowing the layered brushwork to carry the primary visual interest. Choosing solid textiles for rugs and upholstery rather than competing patterns keeps the focus squarely on the landscape motif.

Colour combinations

Our wallpaper brings together a vibrant palette of emerald, turquoise, coral pink, blush, and marigold against soft lilac and sky blue. When selecting surrounding paint colors for adjacent walls or trim, clean warm whites or very pale blush tones create a fresh, airy backdrop that complements the lighter passages of the design. If you prefer a richer, more enveloping feel, drawing out the deep teal or muted forest green for surrounding woodwork or accent furnishings provides a grounded, sophisticated counterpoint.
