Wallpaper - Happy Herd Stripes

In this wallpaper, we have paired a delicate sketch of grazing and resting sheep with a structured border of muted olive and warm cream stripes. Created in collaboration with Wild Apple Portfolio, the design centres a group of finely drawn sheep on a calm, neutral backdrop, framed by balanced vertical striping along the outer edges. The contrast between the soft line work of the animals and the rhythmic geometry of the stripes gives our mural wallpapers a distinctive, pastoral character. Like all our wallpapers, it is custom made to your specific wall dimensions on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper structure.

In the room

We see this design working beautifully on a main feature wall in a bedroom, living room, or nursery. Because the central sheep illustration forms a defined focal point framed by vertical stripes, it naturally suits an uninterrupted wall behind a bed, sofa, or low sideboard where the central composition can be fully appreciated. In an entryway or dining space, the vertical stripes help draw the eye upward while the gentle sketch adds quiet warmth to the space. For smaller or more compact rooms, placing this wall mural on a single accent wall keeps the room feeling grounded without overwhelming the surrounding space.

Styling it

The combination of classical sketch art and clean stripe framing makes this design adaptable across both traditional country interiors and more modern spaces. We suggest pairing it with warm wood furniture, such as honey-toned pine, natural ash, or vintage oak, which complements the rustic feel of the sheep motif. Simple painted cabinetry or furniture in warm off-white or soft earthy greens also harmonises with the border. To maintain a calm balance, keep surrounding patterns minimal and let the wallpaper carry the decorative focus.

Colour combinations

The palette of our wallpaper centres on warm cream, charcoal-sepia sketch tones, and muted olive green stripes. When decorating the rest of the room, we suggest pulling directly from these earthy shades. Muted sage, soft moss, or deep olive green on adjacent painted walls, trim, or skirting boards create a considered connection to the striped border. Neutral tones like soft ecru, warm beige, and chalky white work effortlessly across surrounding surfaces, while touches of dark charcoal or deep brown in hardware or frames echo the delicate linework of the herd.
