Wallpaper - Modern Petals V

Our Modern Petals V wallpaper, designed by Cheryl Warrick, brings together bold botanical shapes and rich painterly color against a deep navy backdrop. Large stylized blooms in shades of pale pink, coral, bright marigold yellow, deep mauve, and crimson red mingle with fresh green foliage and playful dotted accents. What we particularly like is the expressive, gouache-like visual texture and graphic layout, creating a joyful, contemporary floral mural. Printed to your specific wall dimensions on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, it offers a striking focal point for creative spaces.

In the room

Because of the scale of the flowers and the rich contrast between the dark ground and lively petals, we see this working exceptionally well as an accent wall in a living room, dining area, or creative home office. Giving the mural wallpaper an uninterrupted wall allows the dynamic variety of floral silhouettes and contrasting scale to fully unfold without feeling crowded.

In a bedroom, positioning this design behind the headboard creates a warm, expressive backdrop that grounds the room. The rich navy background gives the space an intimate feel in softer evening light, while the vibrant pink, yellow, and green tones come alive under natural daylight.

Styling it

When decorating around such a lively floral pattern, we suggest balancing the expressive artwork with clean-lined furniture and grounded natural textures. Mid-century silhouettes or contemporary pieces with simple forms keep the focus on the wall without competing for visual attention.

Warm wood tones like oak or walnut pair naturally with the earthy warmth in the marigold and coral flowers, while matte black or deep navy accents can echo the rich ground of the design. We would keep large upholstery relatively quiet in neutral tones like cream or soft taupe, bringing in small accents from the mural through cushions or ceramic decor.

Colour combinations

Our wallpaper features a foundation of deep midnight navy, overlaid with a cheerful palette of soft blush pink, vibrant rose, warm marigold yellow, crimson, and deep plum, balanced by leafy olive and moss greens with crisp white-and-black dots.

To build a harmonious palette around it, consider surrounding walls in a soft warm white, pale linen, or a gentle muted blush to let the design stand out. For a cozier, enveloping look in a dining room or study, taking a dark navy or deep charcoal across adjacent walls and trim will seamlessly integrate the mural into the room architecture.
