Wallpaper - Shimmering Shore l

Our Shimmering Shore I wallpaper, created by Nikita Jariwala, translates a coastal landscape into bold, abstract planes of color and layered lines. Sweeping ribbons of turquoise, sea glass blue, and soft foam white capture the movement of waves along a rocky shoreline built from earthy patches of ochre, dusty rose, slate grey, and deep navy. Gentle hills and fluid sky tones frame the horizon, giving the scene an expansive, painterly quality. Printed as a made-to-measure, PVC-free design with a subtle texture in the paper, this mural brings a fresh, artistic balance to any room.

In the room

We love how this landscape composition draws the eye horizontally across a space. Because the artwork features a sweeping shoreline meeting rolling waves, it works wonderfully across a wider, uninterrupted wall in a living room, dining area, or bedroom where the full vista can unfold naturally.

Positioned behind a sofa or low-profile headboard, the lower sea tones ground the furniture while the softer sky and mountain forms keep the upper half of the wall open and airy. For a home office or creative studio, the clear lines and serene maritime colors provide an inspiring backdrop that adds character without creating visual clutter.

Styling it

To let the graphic forms and rich palette of the mural take center stage, we recommend pairing it with furniture that has clean silhouettes and understated finishes. Low-slung seating in off-white, oat, or charcoal upholstery provides comfortable contrast against the cool aquatic blues.

Natural, warm-toned woods like light oak, ash, or birch bring out the golden ochre and soft sand patches within the coastline, grounding the cooler tones of the water. For decorative accents, consider matte ceramics or subtle black metal details that echo the dark navy accents along the shore without competing with the overall design.

Colour combinations

The palette in our wallpaper centers on a refreshing interplay between cool water tones and warm, grounded land elements. Ocean turquoise, pale seafoam, sky blue, and crisp white define the coastal water, contrasted by earthy ochre, muted terracotta, dusty pink, stone grey, and midnight navy in the rocky coastline.

When selecting paint for adjacent walls or trim, a soft off-white or light pebble grey creates an effortless, cohesive backdrop. If you prefer deeper contrast, picking up the dark navy or dusty slate grey for nearby woodwork or architectural details will neatly anchor the room.
