Wallpaper - Playa Palms I

Created by June Erica Vess, our Playa Palms I wallpaper brings an airy coastal landscape into the home with a soft, watercolor-like appearance. Tall palm trees with slender trunks and sweeping green fronds rise across a scenic shore, where calm blue water meets a warm sandy beach. The composition has an open, painterly character set against a textured, linen-look neutral background. Like all our wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure to fit your wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper structure.

In the room

We love this design as a scenic focal point in a living room, bedroom, or dining space. Because the palm fronds sweep high up into the upper half of the composition while the lower portion features gentle shoreline and water washes, the design naturally anchors a room without feeling crowded. In a bedroom, placing this mural wallpaper behind a low bed frame allows the palm canopies to frame the sleeping area naturally. In an open-plan living area or dining room, letting the mural run across a wider uninterrupted wall gives the shoreline perspective room to breathe. The fluid brushstrokes and gentle color transitions make it easy to introduce a tropical coastal mood without overwhelming smaller or medium-sized rooms.

Styling it

The breezy, artistic feel of our Playa Palms I wall mural pairs effortlessly with relaxed contemporary, coastal, and bohemian interiors. We recommend balancing the painterly scene with furnishings that echo its natural, sun-bleached aesthetic:

• Introduce furniture in lighter wood tones, such as bleached oak, rattan, or light cane, which complement the warm sand tones and slender tree trunks.
• Choose larger upholstered seating or bed linens in soft off-white, light cream, or relaxed oatmeal to keep the surrounding space bright and calm.
• Bring in accent cushions or throws in washed ocean blue or muted olive green to subtly pick up the watercolor brushwork from the water and palm leaves.

Colour combinations

Our wallpaper features a balanced palette of soft leafy greens, sky and sea blues, and sandy peach and terracotta tones, all set over an off-white background with a textile-like visual weave. When planning surrounding surfaces, soft off-whites, creamy neutrals, or very pale warm greys work wonderfully on adjacent painted walls to keep the focus on the mural. For cabinetry, trim, or larger accent pieces, washed coastal blues or gentle olive and moss greens create a cohesive, harmonious dialogue with the artwork.
