Wallpaper - Warm Western

Our Warm Western wallpaper features an intimate, close-up photographic portrait captured by Nathan Larson, centering on the rich chestnut coat, dark mane, and gentle curve of a horse turning back toward itself. The composition highlights the fine texture of the horse's fur and the soft, neutral, softly blurred background, creating an earthy and quiet focal point on a wall. Like all Wallism wallpapers, this design is custom made-to-measure based on your exact wall dimensions and is produced entirely PVC-free on paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

Because of its close photographic framing and large-scale subject, we see this wall mural working particularly well on an accent wall where the portrait has room to breathe. In a living room, placing it on the primary wall behind a low sofa keeps the horse's head and mane in full view without being interrupted by tall furniture. In a bedroom, it creates a grounded, peaceful backdrop behind a headboard, while in an entryway or study, the warm brown tones establish an immediate sense of warmth and character.

Styling it

We recommend styling this design alongside understated, grounded furnishings that echo its natural, organic feel.

• Keep large furniture low in profile and clean in silhouette so the photographic subject remains the primary visual anchor in the room.
• Introduce tactile, unrefined fabrics such as heavy linen, woven wool, or washed canvas in neutral tones to complement the soft visual texture of the coat.
• Pair with warm, natural wood finishes such as oiled oak, walnut, or reclaimed pine to build on the earthy, rustic undertones of the photograph.
• Accent with matte black or dark bronze hardware and simple ceramic vessels to ground the softer background tones without competing with the motif.

Colour combinations

The palette in our wallpaper revolves around rich chestnut, warm russet, and deep espresso tones in the coat and mane, balanced by a pale, neutral beige-grey background. To harmonize with these tones, we suggest surrounding the wall mural with soft stone, warm sand, or muted greige on adjacent walls. For a deeper, more enveloping feel, dark charcoal, rich olive, or deep espresso paint can echo the darkest strands of the mane, while cream or off-white woodwork keeps the overall space feeling open and light.
