Wallpaper - Playful Vase II

Our Playful Vase II wallpaper by Cheryl Warrick brings a bold, graphic still life to the wall with expressive charm. A coral-red checkered vase anchors the composition, holding an exuberant bouquet of soft pink and creamy yellow blossoms framed by deep teal foliage. Set against a textured-looking deep navy blue backdrop, the stylized floral shapes create a striking visual contrast that feels both artistic and inviting. Printed as made-to-measure wallpaper on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper structure, our design provides a confident focal point while remaining wonderfully easy to hang.

In the room

Because of its centered motif and rich, dark navy backdrop, we especially like this design on a defined accent wall where the full floral composition can be enjoyed without heavy disruption. In a dining room, placed behind a dining table or credenza, the warm pinks and coral red create an intimate, gathering-focused atmosphere. It also works naturally in an entryway or a bedroom feature wall behind a lower headboard, giving the room a distinct artistic personality without cluttering the surrounding visual space.

In smaller spaces like a powder room or a study, the dark ground brings an enveloping, cozy depth. The contrast between the saturated blue background and the bright floral petals keeps the wall feeling lively rather than heavy, particularly when paired with ambient, warm light in the evening.

Styling it

We recommend styling around this mural wallpaper by playing with simple silhouettes that allow the artwork to stand out:

• Choose clean-lined furniture in warm wood tones or painted off-white finishes so the graphic shapes of the vase and flowers remain the primary focus.
• Incorporate smooth ceramic or matte accents that echo the rounded contours of the blooms and vessel.
• Keep nearby textiles quiet and textured, such as woven wool or unpatterned cotton in neutral cream or deep navy, grounding the room without competing with the motif.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built on a vibrant and balanced palette: deep navy blue in the textured background, warm coral-red and pinks across the vase and petals, pale buttery yellow in the rounded pompon flowers, and muted teal green in the leaves.

When considering surrounding paint colors and decor, we suggest working with the warmer tones from the flowers. Soft buttermilk creams, pale blush, or warm linen whites on adjoining walls and woodwork will keep the room bright and fresh. Alternatively, if you prefer a moodier, enveloping scheme, pairing the wallpaper with deep marine navy on the trim or neighboring walls will create a sophisticated, seamless environment where the red vase and bright blossoms pop with vivid clarity.
