Wallpaper - Sphere I

Created by Kathy Ferguson, our Sphere I wallpaper brings together expressive abstract forms, curving orbital lines, and painterly blocks of colour. The composition balances softer washes of lilac, lavender, and pale blue with accents of vivid yellow, hot pink, deep purple, and grey. Layered textures and graphic marks give the design an artistic, mixed-media feel that adds creative energy to an interior without overwhelming it. Produced made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical structure, it is straightforward to hang and adapts naturally to your wall dimensions.

In the room

Because of its painterly abstract layout and flowing orbital arcs, we see this mural wallpaper working particularly well on a main feature wall in a living room, bedroom, or creative home office. Giving the design a relatively wide, uninterrupted wall allows the dynamic curve of the lines and the varied collage-like shapes to unfold across the space. In a bedroom, placing it behind the headboard anchors the room with soft purple and pastel tones while leaving plenty of visual interest around the edges. In an open living area, it serves as an expressive focal point that naturally ties together surrounding soft furnishings and artwork.

Styling it

When styling around this design, we recommend keeping larger furniture pieces relatively grounded to let the artwork take centre stage:

• Pair with contemporary furniture in pale ash, light birch, or soft grey painted finishes to balance the expressive brushwork and purple palette.
• Introduce textiles in neutral linen or muted lavender, echoing the softer background tones of the motif without competing for attention.
• Incorporate subtle decorative accents in matte black or brushed brass to pick up on the fine linear marks and bright yellow details within the artwork.

Colour combinations

The palette in our wallpaper centres on shades of lilac, lavender, and soft periwinkle, enlivened by pops of bright sunny yellow, magenta pink, deep violet, and charcoal grey. For surrounding walls and woodwork, we like using soft off-white, chalky grey, or an understated pale lilac to keep the room light and cohesive. If you want a more cocooning feel, a deeper slate grey or rich plum on adjacent surfaces or upholstery can draw out the darker geometric accents in the print.
