Wallpaper - Sun Shadow Stems II

Created by June Erica Vess, our Sun Shadow Stems II wallpaper pairs botanical silhouettes with a soft, mottled olive green backdrop. Warm beige and pale sand-toned floral stems rise gracefully across the composition, rendered with a painted, sun-bleached look that feels organic and calm. What we particularly like is the balance between the smaller, clustered blossoms and the larger, bolder bloom on the right. Printed made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, this design brings a quiet, artistic botanical presence to any interior.

In the room

The vertical flow and generous negative space make this wall mural an excellent choice for bedrooms, dining rooms, or a serene living room feature wall. Because the floral silhouettes rise from the bottom toward the upper portion of the wall, the composition works naturally behind a low headboard, a sofa, or a low-profile sideboard without losing its key artistic elements. In rooms with ample natural daylight, the watercolor-like depth in the olive green ground becomes especially nuanced, while under warmer evening lamplight, the beige silhouettes take on an inviting, cozy glow.

Styling it

We would keep the surrounding furniture grounded and understated to complement the design's earthy palette. Natural materials such as light oak, ash, or warm walnut harmonize effortlessly with the olive tones, while simple linen or cotton textiles in ivory and sand help maintain the light, airy feel of the floral stems. To maintain visual balance, avoid heavy geometric patterns nearby and let the wallpaper act as the primary visual artwork in the space.

Colour combinations

The palette centers on muted olive green, mossy undertones, and warm sandy beige. Around the wallpaper, we recommend working with off-white, cream, or soft oat tones on adjacent painted walls and woodwork to echo the floral silhouettes. For deeper contrast, dark moss green, muted forest tones, or warm terracotta accents in decorative ceramics create a cohesive, nature-inspired palette.
