Wallpaper - A Quiet Whisper II

Our A Quiet Whisper II wallpaper, created by Yvette St. Amant, brings together soft watercolor washes and fluid abstract forms. What we particularly like about this design is the central vertical movement, where deeper mossy olive greens and muted plum tones build depth before dissolving into translucent layers of dusty blush, warm peach, and pale amber. The watercolor-like bleeding and delicate tide marks give the motif an organic, layered character that feels expressive yet gentle. Produced as a made-to-measure, PVC-free wall mural with a subtle structure in the paper, this design is straightforward to hang and adds an artistic, grounded atmosphere across an entire feature wall.

In the room

Because of the strong central gradient and broad organic flow, we see this mural wallpaper working particularly well on an uninterrupted wall in a living room, bedroom, or dedicated dining area. In a bedroom, placing the deeper vertical core behind a low headboard creates a natural focal point, allowing the softer peach and blush edges to extend outward and open up the rest of the space.

In a spacious living room, giving the design a wide wall lets the gentle horizontal transitions unfold naturally. The delicate translucent layering also responds beautifully to varying light conditions; daylight highlights the subtle paper grain and pale washes, while softer evening lamplight enhances the richer plum and olive greens in the center.

Styling it

To keep the visual balance effortless, we would pair this wallpaper with low-profile furniture that allows the watercolor washes to remain visible across the height of the room. A clean-lined sofa in warm neutral upholstery or a low wooden credenza anchors the space without competing with the organic movement of the motif.

For surrounding materials, warm natural wood such as light oak or walnut complements the earthy olive and peach tones. Adding quiet textures like unbleached linen or matte ceramic decor introduces warmth without distracting from the artwork's fluid character.

Colour combinations

The motif features an earthy and nuanced palette of soft blush, warm peach, mossy olive green, and muted plum, all blended over a pale amber ground.

When choosing paint colors for adjacent walls or trim, we recommend pulling directly from these softer surrounding washes. A soft warm beige, muted plaster pink, or warm sand on neighboring walls creates a seamless, wrapped feel throughout the room. If you want to introduce a touch of contrast, picking up the deeper olive green or muted plum in smaller accents, like a velvet cushion, a throw, or painted woodwork, grounds the overall composition beautifully.
