Wallpaper - Pet Stroll II

Our Pet Stroll II wallpaper, created by Michael Mullan, brings a playful mid-century illustrative charm to the wall. The graphic composition centres on a stylized gentleman in a red patterned jacket, cap, and glasses, holding a bold black umbrella with a small pale blue bird perched right on top. At his side sits a whimsical striped blue cat against a clean, light textured backdrop. The blocky shapes, subtle print-like texture, and cheerful character design make this one of our most charismatic mural wallpapers. Like all Wallism wallpapers, it is custom made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure.

In the room

We love this design for spaces that welcome personality and a lighter, narrative touch. It works particularly well as a focal feature wall in a home office, an inviting hallway, or a creative living room. Because the artwork relies on a single charming character scene with generous breathing room around the central figure, we recommend placing it on a wall where the graphic silhouettes of the umbrella and walking figure can be viewed in full without being blocked by tall shelving or oversized furniture. In a study or entryway, giving this mural wallpaper its own clear expanse allows the quirky details, from the pipe smoke to the striped cat, to set a friendly, design-led tone.

Styling it

The mid-century graphic styling pairs naturally with retro and vintage-inspired interiors. We suggest leaning into clean-lined furniture, such as a teak or walnut desk, mid-century credenzas, and simple tapered legs that echo the illustration's 1960s character. Keep surrounding accessories relatively tailored so the focal artwork retains its lighthearted presence. Incorporating small matte black hardware or lighting fixtures will pick up the strong black lines of the umbrella and trousers, while textured wool or bouclé upholstery in neutral tones creates a warm, comfortable counterpoint to the graphic shapes.

Colour combinations

The illustration is built around a distinct palette of rich coral red, deep charcoal black, and soft duck-egg blue, set over a warm off-white background. To complement our wallpaper, you can draw directly from the artwork by using muted duck-egg or slate blue on adjacent walls, upholstery, or curtains. If you prefer a simpler backdrop, warm linen whites and soft neutral greys keep the surrounding room understated while allowing the red jacket and black umbrella to stand out as the primary colour accents.
