Wallpaper - Woodland Fox

Our Woodland Fox wallpaper by June Erica Vess brings an expressive woodland portrait to life with broad, painted-looking brushstrokes and rich character. The central fox motif combines warm terracotta, rust orange, and deep brown tones with creamy white highlights, set against a cool sage green background with subtle painterly texture. The composition centres the portrait directly, making it an engaging focal point where the textured brushwork gives the artwork distinct visual warmth. Printed as made-to-measure mural wallpapers on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper structure, our design is straightforward to hang and brings an artistic touch to your walls.

In the room

We see this design working particularly well in spaces where a wall mural can act as a playful and expressive feature. In a children's bedroom, nursery, or playroom, the friendly face of the fox creates a comforting, character-filled presence behind a bed or low reading bench. Because the motif is centered and carries strong visual weight, it thrives on an accent wall where the portrait remains unobstructed by tall wardrobes or high shelving. In a hallway or home study, it works nicely on a smaller wall where the painterly detail can be appreciated up close.

Styling it

When styling around this wallpaper, we recommend balancing the rich, warm brushwork with simple shapes and understated furnishings.

• Pair with lighter wood tones or painted furniture in off-white or soft cream to keep the room light and let the fox motif stand out.
• Incorporate woven baskets, woollen throws, or smooth cotton textiles to complement the visual brushwork without adding competing patterns.
• Keep wall decor minimal on adjacent walls, allowing the artwork to serve as the main decorative element in the room.

Colour combinations

Our design is anchored by the warm contrast between the fox's terracotta, ginger, and chestnut fur and the soothing mint and sage green backdrop. To build a cohesive palette around the mural, we suggest pulling the soft green tone onto adjacent painted walls or woodwork for an enveloping feel. Warm neutrals like ivory, biscuit, and soft oatmeal also work effortlessly alongside the creamy white accents in the fur, while small touches of ochre or muted rust can echo the portrait's warmer shades.
