Wallpaper - Swan Reverie ll

Our Swan Reverie II wallpaper, created by Nikita Jariwala, brings a serene, painterly motif to the wall with two graceful white swans resting on soft, misty water. Rendered with visible brushstrokes and an oil-painted look, the composition pairs muted ivory, soft cream, and subtle hints of watery pale blue with delicate ochre-brown foliage in the lower corner. The gentle contrast and quiet tonal shifts give the design an airy, atmospheric presence. Like all our wall murals, this design is custom made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface texture, making it straightforward to hang.

In the room

We love how the gentle balance of open space and painted detail makes this mural wallpaper particularly well suited to quieter spaces in the home. In a bedroom, placing the design behind a low headboard allows the swans to sit comfortably at eye level without feeling crowded by furniture. The open, pale background gives the surrounding space an expansive quality, which works nicely across a main wall in a living room, nursery, or calm guest room. Because the composition relies on subtle tonal transitions rather than high-contrast patterns, it sits naturally on larger uninterrupted walls where the soft atmospheric washes can be fully appreciated.

Styling it

To complement the delicate, painterly character of this wallpaper, we would focus on gentle textures and low-contrast furnishings:

• Pair with lighter natural wood tones or painted off-white furniture to keep the overall look light and unified.
• Introduce soft, unpatterned textiles such as woven throws, matte cottons, or light drapery in warm neutral tones to echo the calm water and feather textures.
• Keep wall decor and tall cabinetry minimal around the central motif so the swans remain the visual focus of the space.

Colour combinations

The palette in our wallpaper centres around warm creamy whites, soft ivory, muted beige, and faint touches of watery pale blue, grounded by earthy ochre and warm brown in the beaks and lower foliage. For surrounding painted walls and woodwork, we recommend staying within a tonal family of soft off-white, light warm greige, or a very pale, muted blue-grey. These tones gently pick up the subtle background nuances of the mural without competing with the soft artwork.
