Wallpaper - Lakeside III

Created by Leslie Trimbach, our Lakeside III wallpaper captures a serene lakeside wilderness scene with an illustrated, watercolor-inspired character. The composition features a stag and doe resting among reeds and trees in the foreground, with a loon swimming on the water, a flying duck overhead, and distant mountain ridges framed beneath the lettering "LOON LAKE" with blueberry accents. Rendered in soft sage and forest greens, warm fawn browns, and muted blues against an off-white textured backdrop, this design brings a storybook nature aesthetic to a room. Like all our mural wallpapers, it is custom made-to-measure, PVC-free, and printed on paper with a subtle physical structure.

In the room

We see this wallpaper working particularly well in a children's bedroom, nursery, or a relaxed family living space where its narrative wildlife illustration can take center stage. Because the motif is arranged with distinct foreground elements and vertical framing from the trees and lettering, we would give it a primary, uninterrupted wall, such as behind a bed, a crib, or a low sofa. Keeping major storage pieces away from the center of the wall ensures the deer, loon, and lake landscape remain clearly visible.

Styling it

The soft illustrative style and woodland palette pair naturally with painted wood furniture in cream or soft sage, as well as light natural timber like pine or light birch. We recommend keeping surrounding furnishings simple in silhouette so the pictorial nature of the wall mural remains the focal point without creating visual clutter. Matte ceramic accents, woven storage baskets, and unpatterned bedding in oat or muted moss green echo the organic outdoor mood while letting the artwork tell its quiet story.

Colour combinations

The palette in our wallpaper relies on earthy sage greens, deep moss, warm fawn brown, slate blue, and a creamy off-white ground. To complement these tones on adjacent walls or trim, consider soft off-white, light warm taupe, or an understated sage paint. For textile accents, muted blueberry tones or soft forest green can pick up on the foliage and berry details in the top border without overwhelming the space.
