Wallpaper - Tulip Bouquet I

Our Tulip Bouquet I wallpaper mural, created by artist Julia Purinton, captures the quiet elegance of fresh cream and soft blush tulips gathered in a clear glass bowl. What we particularly appreciate about this floral design is the painterly brushwork, where layered petals and arching green foliage stand out against a soft, structured backdrop of warm greys and muted architectural tones. The composition brings a classic still-life character to the wall with a gentle, balanced presence. Like all of our mural wallpapers, this design is made to measure to your exact wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

Because of its painterly still-life format, we see this wall mural working especially well on an accent wall where the full bouquet has space to be appreciated. In a dining room or behind a dining table, the composition naturally echoes the gathering space, bringing soft organic movement to the setting. In a bedroom, placing this design behind a low headboard creates a serene, grounded focal point without overwhelming the rest of the decor. The balanced vertical structure of the background also makes it an inviting choice for an entryway or hallway console wall, where guests can take in the painterly details at close range.

Styling it

To complement the classic still-life aesthetic of our wallpaper, we suggest keeping the surrounding furniture clean-lined and understated so the artwork remains the central feature.

• Anchor the room with warm, natural wood finishes such as mid-tone oak or painted furniture in soft stone or warm white, which pick up the lighter notes in the floral petals.
• Choose surrounding upholstery and drapery in tactile, woven fabrics like washed linen or muted cotton to echo the soft, matte texture of the painted surface.
• Introduce subtle accents in clear glass, unpolished ceramic, or warm antiqued brass to mirror the glassware in the motif and add understated warmth to the room.

Colour combinations

The palette in our wallpaper centres on creamy whites, delicate pale blush, and rich botanical greens, set against neutral bands of stone, dove grey, and soft putty. When choosing paint for adjacent walls or woodwork, we recommend gentle off-whites with a warm undertone, muted taupe, or a soft sage green drawn from the tulip stems. For a slightly more grounded look, a deeper charcoal or warm slate grey on trim or nearby shelving provides a sophisticated, classic contrast that frames the floral composition beautifully.
