Wallpaper - Prairie Dinosaur

Our Prairie Dinosaur wallpaper, designed by Wellington Studio, brings an imaginative, painterly scene to life with a playful blend of rustic landscape and prehistoric wonder. The composition features a towering Tyrannosaurus crossing a dirt country road beside a vintage red pickup truck, while a second dinosaur roams in the vibrant green fields beyond. Rendered with expressive, painted-looking brushwork and framed beneath a vast blue prairie sky filled with billowing white clouds, this scenic design offers a rich narrative quality with earthy browns, vivid greens, and clear cerulean tones. Like all of our wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure to fit your wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

We see this design working naturally as an accent wall in a children's bedroom, playroom, or creative family space. Because the scene has a strong central horizon and dynamic character placement, it benefits from a wider, relatively uninterrupted wall where the full countryside road and sky can unfold without being blocked by tall wardrobes or high headboards. In a children's room, placing low bookcases or a low bed frame along the wall allows the story within the mural to stay fully visible. Under generous daylight, the bright blue sky and lush green fields feel especially open and cheerful, while warm lighting in the evening enhances the earthy brown tones of the dinosaurs and the dirt track.

Styling it

When decorating around such a lively visual story, we recommend keeping surrounding furniture simple and grounded. Natural wood furniture in lighter or mid-toned finishes pairs easily with the rural landscape aesthetic, allowing the mural wallpapers to remain the clear centerpiece of the room. Soft furnishings in unpatterned cotton or canvas help balance the detailed artwork, especially when chosen in subtle neutrals or gentle green accents that draw from the pasture tones.

Colour combinations

The palette of our wallpaper centers on bright sky blue, soft cloud whites, grassy greens, warm dirt browns, and the cheerful cherry-red accent of the pickup truck. For surrounding walls and trim, warm off-white or soft biscuit shades create a clean, harmonious backdrop that lets the blue sky stand out. If you prefer to introduce more color on neighboring surfaces, a muted moss green or warm sand tone will complement the countryside tones in the foreground.
