Wallpaper - Dustborn Stallions II

Created in collaboration with artist Nikita Jariwala, our Dustborn Stallions II wallpaper brings together stylized, painterly horses in an earthy, layered composition. Warm terracotta, sandy ochre, muted grey, and soft off-white tones overlap across the surface, accented by gentle brushstroke patterns in the backdrop. The visual scale gives each horse a distinct presence while preserving the soft, painted character of the original artwork. Printed as a made-to-measure, PVC-free wall mural with a subtle structure in the paper, this design adds a warm, artistic focal point to any interior.

In the room

Because of the organic shapes and warm, grounding palette, we see this design working beautifully across an accent wall in a living room, bedroom, or dining space. In a living room, giving the wallpaper a wide, uninterrupted wall behind a sofa allows the full group of horses and their sweeping curves to be appreciated together.

In a bedroom, positioning the mural behind the bed creates a calm, enveloping headboard backdrop where the softer grey and off-white tones can interact with resting areas. The low contrast between the terracotta and sand elements means the design feels expressive without overwhelming smaller spaces like a quiet home study or guest room.

Styling it

To complement the earthy tones and artistic feel of this wall mural, we suggest pairing it with furniture and accents that share a similarly tactile, natural simplicity:

• Choose warm wood furniture in tones like oak or walnut, which mirror the terracotta and sand hues without competing with the painted artwork.
• Introduce neutral upholstery and woven textiles in unbleached cotton, taupe, or soft grey to echo the lighter tones of the stallions.
• Use matte ceramic lamps, stoneware vases, or muted bronze accents to ground the space and maintain an organic, handcrafted feel.

Colour combinations

The palette of our wallpaper is built around warm terracotta, golden ochre, dusty grey, gentle cream, and muted brown.

When choosing surrounding colors for adjoining walls, trim, or large furniture, consider warm off-white or light sand to keep the room open and cohesive. If you prefer a richer, more enveloping feel, pulled terracotta or muted clay paint on adjacent walls complements the deeper background tones in the motif. For a cooler, balanced contrast, soft stone grey on woodwork or cabinetry ties directly to the grey horses in the artwork.
