Wallpaper - Stillness

Created by Nikita Jariwala, our Stillness wallpaper captures a painted landscape where a pale river winds through layered hills and valleys. Rich blocks of forest green, olive, deep ochre, rust, and earthy brown ground the composition, balanced by soft grey cloud cover across the upper sky. Visible brushwork and subtle canvas texture bring an expressive, artistic character to the wall without overwhelming the room. Made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, this design brings grounded natural tones and painterly horizon lines into everyday living spaces.

In the room

We see this mural wallpaper working particularly well on a wide, uninterrupted wall in a living room, bedroom, or dining area where the winding river and rolling terrain have room to unfold across the full width of the space. Because the landscape composition places deeper, weightier color blocks in the lower half and a lighter, atmospheric sky above, it creates a natural sense of perspective that anchors the room without feeling heavy. In a dining room or behind a low sofa or headboard, the horizontal movement of the hills creates an expansive backdrop that draws the eye outward across the wall.

Styling it

To complement the painterly character of this design, we would pair it with furniture that shares its grounded, organic feel. Low-profile pieces in warm wood tones, such as oiled oak or walnut, harmonize naturally with the ochre and brown passages in the foreground. For surrounding seating and textiles, textured neutral weaves in oatmeal, flax, or unbleached canvas keep the focus on the landscape while echoing the quiet warmth of the palette. Matte black metal or muted bronze accents on light fixtures or side tables can provide a crisp, modern counterpoint to the broad, painterly brushstrokes.

Colour combinations

The palette within the wallpaper centres on deep forest and moss greens, rich ochre, terracotta rust, earthy browns, and an open sweep of pale blush-tinted white along the riverbank against soft sky greys. In the surrounding room, soft off-white or light warm grey on adjacent walls will allow the mural to stand as the visual focal point while connecting to the open sky at the top of the composition. If you prefer a richer, more enveloping feel, drawing out the deep olive green or warm earth tones on trim, doors, or low cabinetry creates a sophisticated, continuous tone throughout the interior.
