Wallpaper - Neutral Coils III

Our Neutral Coils III wallpaper, created in collaboration with artist June Erica Vess, presents an abstract composition of undulating, painted ribbons across a warm neutral background. Charcoal and soft black bands flow in meandering loops and labyrinthine gestures, creating an engaging visual rhythm across the surface. What we particularly appreciate about this mural wallpaper is the subtle, textured visual finish within the paint marks, giving the abstract forms an authentic, artisanal presence on the wall. Made to measure for your exact space, our wallpapers are PVC-free and printed on a quality paper substrate featuring a subtle physical surface structure.

In the room

Because the motif carries a strong organic movement and confident graphic balance, we like using this design across a main feature wall in a living room, bedroom, or dining room. The generous scale of the looping lines works best when given a relatively wide, uninterrupted wall area where the continuous flow of the curves can fully unfold. In a bedroom, placing the wallpaper behind the headboard anchors the room with artistic depth without overwhelming the space. In an open-plan living area or dining space, it acts as a striking visual focal point that ties together surrounding neutral architectural elements.

Styling it

We recommend letting the bold, fluid lines of this design take center stage by pairing it with clean-lined, modern or mid-century furniture. Simple silhouettes in warm wood or soft, unpatterned upholstery provide a calm counterpoint to the dynamic, painterly curves of the wall mural. Keeping surrounding accessories deliberate and uncluttered helps maintain an open, gallery-inspired atmosphere throughout the interior.

Colour combinations

The artwork features deep charcoal and muted black tones contrasted against a warm, sandy beige and biscuit background. To build a cohesive room palette, we suggest pulling directly from these background tones with warm off-white, oat, or light taupe on adjacent walls and trim. If you want to introduce deliberate contrast, deep charcoal or muted olive accents in cushions or cabinetry echo the darker brushstrokes while keeping the overall palette grounded and serene.
