Wallpaper - Vinyl Groove

Designed by Omar Escalante, our Vinyl Groove wallpaper captures a graphic, music-inspired scene rendered in a clean two-tone blue and off-white line illustration style. The artwork depicts a woman wearing a sun visor leaning over a record player and sound system, set against wall shelves stacked with vinyl record sleeves. Its bold linework and selective blue shadow fills create a relaxed, retro-infused aesthetic with generous negative space. Like all Wallism wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure to fit your exact wall dimensions and is printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical paper structure.

In the room

Because of its expressive figurative subject and bold graphic perspective, we see this wall mural working especially well on an accent wall in a living room, home office, or creative studio space. The off-white background allows the wall to feel airy, while the dynamic composition draws the eye toward the turntable and record collection. In a bedroom or music lounge, placing this design behind a low credenza, media console, or seating area lets the upper illustration and vinyl shelf details remain clearly visible without being cut off by tall furniture.

Styling it

The clean graphic lines and vintage music theme pair naturally with mid-century modern and retro-inspired interiors. We would balance the blue illustration with warm wood furniture, such as teak or warm oak storage units, which echo the classic crate-digger aesthetic. To let the mural wallpaper remain the clear focal point of the room, we suggest keeping surrounding decor relatively minimal, opting for streamlined low-profile furniture and simple, functional lighting.

Colour combinations

Our design is built around crisp cobalt blue linework, soft periwinkle shadow tones, and a bright, neutral off-white ground. For adjacent walls and trim, we recommend pairing this wallpaper with soft off-whites or warm creams to keep the overall atmosphere light and cohesive. If you prefer deeper contrast, dark navy blue accents, rich denim tones, or warm mustard and ochre decorative pieces will complement the blue palette while reinforcing its retro character.
