Wallpaper - Into the Woods Trees I

Our Into the Woods Trees I wallpaper features a solitary pine study by Emily Adams, rendered in charcoal-like monochrome across an aged parchment-toned background. What we particularly like about this design is the balance between the delicate needlework in the branches and the generous open field around the tree. The subtle, weathered paper effect in the backdrop gives the motif an archival, botanical sketch character that feels both grounded and quiet. Like all our mural wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure to fit your wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure.

In the room

Because the motif centers on a single vertical tree with generous negative space, we see this working particularly well on an accent wall where the silhouette has space to breathe. In a living room, placing the tree along an open wall section or behind a low sofa allows the full height of the trunk and crown to remain visible. In a bedroom or home office, the muted contrast and vintage sketch aesthetic create a calm backdrop that does not overwhelm smaller spaces. The vertical composition also works nicely on walls with higher ceilings, drawing the eye upward through the tapered branches.

Styling it

We would keep surrounding furniture low-profile and uncomplicated to let the botanical artwork stand out. A simple credenza or bed frame in natural oak, birch, or dark-stained timber pairs comfortably with the organic theme. Unbleached linen or textured wool fabrics in beige, oatmeal, or muted charcoal echo the rustic paper aesthetic without competing for visual attention.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper itself is composed of deep charcoal and soft graphite tones set against a warm, vintage parchment cream with subtle sepia aging around the edges. When choosing surrounding colors, warm off-whites, soft greys, and muted biscuit tones create a gentle, continuous transition. For a deeper contrast, accents in forest green, slate grey, or deep espresso echo the shaded depths within the tree's foliage.
