Wallpaper - Santorini II

Our Santorini II wallpaper, created by Nikita Jariwala, captures the classic charm of Cycladic architecture through fluid blue line drawings and painterly watercolor-like washes against a warm off-white background. The composition layers whitewashed hillside dwellings, domed rooftops, arched doorways, winding steps, and a distant windmill into an expressive architectural vignette. What we particularly like is how the loose, ink-wash shading gives depth and movement to the geometric forms, balancing crisp outlines with soft cobalt tones. Like all our wall murals, this design is made-to-measure to fit your wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

We see this wallpaper working especially well as a focal feature in a living room, dining area, or bedroom where its graphic clarity can anchor the space. Because the motif builds upward with a strong vertical presence, giving it an open, relatively uninterrupted wall allows the stepped village composition to breathe. In an entryway or hallway, the crisp cobalt-on-cream contrast creates an inviting, characterful welcome without feeling visually crowded. For a home office or creative studio, the artistic, illustrative quality brings an inspiring architectural feel to the wall behind a desk.

Styling it

To complement the Mediterranean character of the motif, we suggest pairing the wallpaper with simple, clean-lined furnishings that let the artwork take center stage. Natural light wood furniture, such as pale ash or bleached oak, harmonizes effortlessly with the off-white background and enhances the relaxed, coastal-inspired mood.

For textiles, crisp white or unbleached linen curtains and slipcovers echo the airy quality of the architecture. A few deep cobalt or indigo ceramic accents can tie the blue watercolor washes back into the rest of the room, while keeping surrounding decor uncluttered maintains an open, breezy atmosphere.

Colour combinations

The design is built around rich cobalt and marine blues set against an off-white, warm cream ground. When planning your surrounding palette, crisp chalky whites and soft ivory tones create a natural extension of the background across adjacent walls and trim.

To introduce warmth, consider pairing the blue motif with muted terracotta, sandy beige, or warm stone on soft furnishings. If you prefer a cooler, more tonal interior, subtle slate blues, soft grey-greens, and navy elements complement the watercolor washes while maintaining a cohesive, relaxed aesthetic.
