Wallpaper - Dusty Rider I

Our Dusty Rider I wallpaper, created by Nikita Jariwala, brings a stylized western landscape to the wall with bold graphic silhouettes and an earthy, sun-baked palette. The composition features a rider in a wide-brimmed cowboy hat set against a desert backdrop of saguaro cacti and soft desert hills. Muted sage green and dusty teal in the shirt balance warm terracotta outlines, sandy ochre tones, and deep brown accents, all rendered with a textured, printmaker-inspired visual quality. Produced made-to-measure on our PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, it offers a grounded, expressive focal point that works naturally across modern and vintage-leaning interiors.

In the room

Because of its strong central figure and narrative character, we see this design working particularly well as an accent wall where the motif can be viewed from a slight distance. In a living room, placing it behind a low-backed sofa or along a main wall keeps the rider and desert horizon fully visible. It also makes an inviting feature in an entryway or hallway, establishing character right at the door. For a bedroom or study, centering the design on a wall opposite the entrance lets the warm earthy tones set a relaxed, grounded atmosphere without overwhelming the rest of the space.

Styling it

We would keep the surrounding decor relatively simple to let the illustrated character of the wallpaper stand out. Warm natural wood tones, like oak or vintage pine, echo the sandy desert palette and brown outlines nicely. Upholstery in soft rust, olive, or neutral linen complements the muted green shirt and terracottas in the artwork. Adding a few ceramic pieces in unglazed clay or matte stoneware, along with simple wrought iron or dark bronze accents, reinforces the modern rustic sensibility without competing with the wall design.

Colour combinations

The palette in this design combines warm desert sand and soft beige with sage green, muted teal, terracotta, and rich chocolate brown. To create a cohesive look around the wallpaper, consider bringing the sandy beige or warm off-white onto adjacent walls to keep the room light and open. Alternatively, painting trim, interior doors, or built-in shelving in a complementary muted olive or dusty terracotta ties directly into the illustration's linework, adding depth and warmth to the whole room.
