Wallpaper - Spring Nectar VI

Created by Lisa Audit, our Spring Nectar VI wallpaper features a painterly hummingbird captured mid-flight against a deep, dark charcoal backdrop. What we particularly like about this design is the contrast between the delicate, textured brushstrokes in muted sage green, silvery grey, and soft lavender-white on the bird's plumage and the quiet, solid ground. The composition draws immediate focus to the outstretched wings and delicate form of the bird, giving the design a striking yet graceful presence. Produced made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure, our wallpapers are easy to hang and make creating a distinct focal point simple.

In the room

Because this mural wallpaper centers on a single, expressive motif on a dark ground, we see it working especially well as an accent wall in a living room, bedroom, or study. On a wider wall behind a sofa or headboard, the dark expanse provides depth while allowing the painted hummingbird to anchor the room. In smaller spaces like an entryway or powder room, the deep backdrop can create an intimate, atmospheric feel without overwhelming the space, provided the surrounding wall surfaces remain relatively uncluttered.

Styling it

We recommend pairing this wallpaper with furniture and decorative pieces that echo its quiet contrast and natural inspiration.

• Choose warm, mid-tone woods like walnut or stained oak to bring natural warmth alongside the dark background.
• Select upholstery and textiles in soft, tactile fabrics such as matte linen or velvet in muted cream, olive, or warm grey.
• Incorporate simple lighting with warm brass or blackened metal accents to highlight the subtle tonal work in the hummingbird's plumage without adding harsh glare.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built around a dark charcoal and black field, accented by soft olive green, silvery lavender, muted grey, and warm beige-brown on the hummingbird. For adjacent painted walls, trim, or large furniture, consider pairing it with soft warm off-whites, misty greys, or muted moss greens to keep the room cohesive while letting the wallpaper remain the primary visual statement.
