Wallpaper - Nature Medley II

Designed by Kathy Ferguson, our Nature Medley II wallpaper brings together a horizontal collage of layered textures, graphic patterns, and organic fragments. Rich terracotta and rust tones sit alongside cream bands, slate grey strips, fine botanical line work, delicate damask prints, and linear markings. What we particularly appreciate about this design is the balance between structured horizontal rhythm and varied surface character, creating a rich visual narrative across the wall. Printed made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, this design brings warmth and artistic depth into contemporary interiors.

In the room

The horizontal layering of this design gives it a grounding presence, making it especially effective on a main feature wall where the varied bands can stretch out across the room. In a living room or behind a dining table, the composition acts as a captivating focal point without overwhelming the space, thanks to its earthy, balanced palette.

We also see this working well in a bedroom behind a headboard or along a hallway wall, where the horizontal lines naturally guide the eye and add interest along the length of the space. Because the motif is rich with varied textures and micro-patterns, it benefits from a wall that is not overly obstructed by tall cabinets or bulky shelving.

Styling it

When styling around this wallpaper, we recommend keeping surrounding furniture relatively calm and sculptural to let the layered pattern stand out. Mid-century or contemporary furniture in warm wood, such as walnut or warm oak, naturally complements the earthy brown and terracotta bands in the artwork.

To balance the graphic detail in the print, introduce larger textiles in unpatterned, tactile weaves. Upholstery or cushions in neutral sand, muted linen, or deep charcoal help anchor the room, while subtle accents in matte black or aged bronze pick up the dark graphic stripes and dotted elements in the collage.

Colour combinations

The palette in our wallpaper centres on rich rust browns, terracotta, and warm wood tones, contrasted with soft off-white, warm cream, slate grey, and touches of dusty rose and olive.

For adjacent walls, we suggest a warm off-white or a light stone beige to keep the atmosphere open and soft. If you prefer a moodier and more enveloping feel, a deep slate grey or dark terracotta pulled directly from the darker bands creates a sophisticated, cohesive backdrop across adjoining surfaces and woodwork.
