Wallpaper - Farm Abstract I

Our Farm Abstract I wallpaper, created with designer Krystal Adams, translates the layered rhythm of an open rural landscape into an expressive, painterly composition. Broad brushstrokes and horizontal bands of sage green, pale sky blue, warm ochre, and creamy off-white are punctuated by lively speckles of red and soft gestural marks. What we particularly appreciate about this mural wallpaper is its balanced mix of loose, textured fields and delicate surface marks, creating an artistic accent wall that feels open and grounded. Like all our wall murals, this design is made-to-measure to fit your specific wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

We see this wallpaper working especially well in spaces where you want to introduce color and visual interest without overwhelming the room. In a living room or dining area, placing this landscape-inspired design on a wide, uninterrupted wall allows the horizontal layering of fields, hills, and sky to unfold naturally across the space. The open distribution of lighter blues and creams toward the upper half creates a sense of airiness, which helps keep rooms with standard ceiling heights feeling visually open. In a bedroom, installing our wallpaper behind the headboard anchors the sleeping area with gentle earthy tones, while a study or home office gains an inspiring, creative focal point.

Styling it

Because this design contains a vibrant variety of painterly marks and warm and cool tones, we recommend keeping surrounding furniture relatively calm and letting the wall mural set the decorative tone.

Low-profile furniture in light oak, birch, or muted painted finishes complements the organic character of the artwork without competing with its horizontal rhythms. For soft furnishings, solid-color textiles in soft linen, warm canvas, or textured wool allow the rich surface marks of the wallpaper to stand out clearly. Subtle ceramic decorative pieces or brushed brass accents can echo the warm ochre and mustard tones scattered across the lower fields.

Colour combinations

The palette in our Farm Abstract I design is built around earthy greens, soft moss, sky blue, muted mustard, cream, and subtle pops of poppy red. When choosing colors for adjacent painted walls and woodwork, a warm off-white or light chalky neutral creates a seamless transition that highlights the airy tones at the top of the design. For a more enveloping, tonal room scheme, pairing the wallpaper with a soft sage green or pale olive on surrounding walls draws out the lush foliage tones in the foreground. If you want to introduce subtle contrast through trim or accent pieces, muted ochre or deep forest green adds depth while staying closely connected to the composition.
