Wallpaper - Simply Celestial I

Our Simply Celestial I wallpaper mural centres on a classic celestial sun motif with an expressive, engraved face and radiating golden-yellow rays. Set against a deep midnight blue ground scattered with starbursts and fine speckled constellations, the design brings a bold, vintage illustrative character to the wall. The contrast between the warm ochre tones of the sun and the rich dark backdrop gives the composition an immediate focal presence. Like all Wallism wallpapers, it is made to measure to your wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

Because of the strong central motif and dramatic contrast, we see this design working especially well as an accent wall where the sun can anchor the space. In a bedroom, it creates a striking backdrop positioned directly behind a headboard. In a dining area or living room, placing it across a main wall gives the room an atmospheric, storybook character without overwhelming the surrounding space. For smaller areas like a study or guest bedroom, the deep blue field brings a cocooning, intimate feel when paired with thoughtful lighting.

Styling it

To balance the graphic detail of the engraved linework, we suggest pairing this mural with understated furnishings that let the artwork take centre stage.

• Choose warm wood finishes such as honey oak, walnut, or vintage teak to complement the golden hues of the sun rays.
• Layer in solid, textured textiles in navy, cream, or muted mustard to echo the palette without introducing competing patterns.
• Incorporate aged brass or matte black lighting and hardware to reinforce the classic, celestial aesthetic.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is defined by its deep midnight navy background and warm golden-ochre and cream celestial elements. On neighbouring walls, soft off-whites, creamy linen tones, or muted warm greiges keep the room bright while framing the mural naturally. If you prefer a richer, more immersive environment, deep ink blue or petrol tones on the surrounding walls and woodwork will tie the entire room together seamlessly.
