Wallpaper - Vintage English Countryside III

Our Vintage English Countryside III wallpaper brings a serene rural landscape into the room with painterly oil brushstrokes and soft atmospheric depth. Designed by Crimson Cottage, this wall mural captures wide open meadows stretching toward a distant treeline under a sweeping, cloud-filled sky, anchored by a prominent leafy tree on the right. The rich mix of meadow greens, soft sage, warm ochre undertones, and cloudy blues gives the scene an organic, pastoral character. Made-to-measure to fit your wall dimensions, this PVC-free wallpaper features a subtle physical structure in the paper that complements the visual depth of the painted motif.

In the room

We love how this landscape mural creates a peaceful, open focal point on a main accent wall. In a living room, dining room, or bedroom, placing this design on a wide, uninterrupted wall allows the horizontal expanse of the fields and distant trees to unfold naturally. Because the right side of the composition carries more visual weight with the prominent tree, positioning lower furniture like a sofa, low sideboard, or bed frame along the wall leaves the expansive sky and foliage clearly visible.

In a dining space or home office, the gentle gradation of open grass and cloudy sky brings a sense of calm visual roominess without feeling busy. The soft, blended brushwork ensures the pattern feels restful across larger wall areas, while natural daylight highlights the delicate transitions between the deep green grass and pale horizon.

Styling it

To complement the pastoral, painted character of this wallpaper, we suggest pairing it with furniture and textiles that echo its organic warmth. Natural, warm-toned woods like oak or aged pine harmonize effortlessly with the rustic field setting, grounding the artwork without competing with its details.

For surrounding soft furnishings, simple woven fabrics in ecru, oatmeal, or muted olive linen allow the scenery to take center stage. Choosing low-profile furnishings and matte ceramic accents keeps the atmosphere quiet and cohesive, letting the wall mural set a relaxed, heritage-inspired tone.

Colour combinations

The motif itself is built around a natural palette of deep meadow green, muted sage, pale straw yellow, soft cream, and hazy sky blue.

When decorating the rest of the room, adjacent painted walls work beautifully in warm off-white, chalky beige, or soft parchment tones that pick up the lighter clouds. If you prefer a richer, more enveloping feel, pulling out a muted olive or gentle moss green for painted woodwork, window trims, or surrounding cabinetry anchors the landscape and creates a seamless connection with the foreground grass.
