Wallpaper - Warm Western BW

Photographer Nathan Larson captures an intimate equine moment in this striking black and white design. Our wallpaper brings the fine details of the horse's mane and coat into sharp visual focus, creating a calm yet graphic presence across the wall. The close crop and dynamic diagonal lines of the composition lend depth and movement to the space without overwhelming it with color. Printed to your exact dimensions, our PVC-free wallpapers feature a subtle paper structure and are straightforward to hang in any home.

In the room

Because of the photographic scale and strong compositional angle, we find this wall mural works exceptionally well on an uninterrupted feature wall. In a living room, placing it behind a low-backed sofa allows the upper movement of the mane and curved neck to remain visible and anchor the space. It also feels right at home in a bedroom behind the headboard or along a quiet hallway where you can appreciate the photographic tonal range up close. In larger open spaces or home offices, the monochromatic tones provide visual character without competing with work surfaces or adjacent zones.

Styling it

We recommend pairing this design with quiet, textural interior elements that complement its photographic nature:

• Ground the space with warm wooden furniture, such as natural oak or darker walnut tones, which soften the contrast of the black and white image.
• Choose understated textiles in linen, woven wool, or matte cotton to mirror the organic visual texture of the horse's coat and mane.
• Keep surrounding accent pieces minimalist in form, using clean lines and subtle black metal details that echo the deeper shadows in the photograph.

Colour combinations

The motif itself consists entirely of deep blacks, soft mid-tone greys, and crisp off-whites. To balance these monochrome values, we suggest working with warm neutrals on adjacent walls, such as soft limestone, oatmeal, or light taupe. If you prefer deeper contrast, charcoal grey or rich espresso tones on nearby woodwork and shelving can create an intentional, enveloping look. Subdued earthy accents like muted terracotta, olive green, or warm cognac leather also sit naturally alongside the cool photographic greys.
