Wallpaper - Shakespeare Classics III

Created by Omar Escalante, our Shakespeare Classics III wallpaper brings a graphic, theatrical presence to the wall with its striking homage to Macbeth. The composition centres on a bold silhouette of a black crown, pierced from above by a dagger held in a pale, sculpted hand, set against an airy, brush-textured pale blue backdrop. Framed by clean typography featuring the play's title at the top and the famous quote "False face must hide what the false heart doth know" along the base, this design captures literary drama through clean, high-contrast symbolism. Produced made-to-measure on our PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, it offers a distinctive focal point for curated interior spaces.

In the room

Because of its strong graphic layout and central motif, we see this design working particularly well as an accent wall in a study, home office, library nook, or living room. The vertical alignment and surrounding pale blue negative space give the artwork room to breathe, making it ideal for a dedicated wall behind a reading desk, sofa, or low shelving. In spaces where you want the wallpaper to carry visual character without overwhelming the entire perimeter, giving this piece a central, uninterrupted wall creates an engaging point of interest.

Styling it

To balance the graphic black crown and clean typography, we would pair this wallpaper with simple, structured furniture and understated materials. Darker wood tones or black-finished shelving echo the deep silhouette at the centre of the composition, while clean-lined contemporary seating keeps the room grounded. Keeping nearby accessories minimal and intentional allows the literary motif and painted background texture to remain the focus of the space.

Colour combinations

The design centres on deep charcoal black, chalky white, and slate grey, all resting on an open wash of soft sky blue with a clean white border. Surrounding walls painted in crisp off-white or light grey create a seamless transition around the room. For accent tones, charcoal and soft slate naturally complement the illustration, while touches of muted navy or deep ink blue can add depth across nearby upholstery or decorative objects.
