Wallpaper - Big Bend National Park

Our Big Bend National Park wallpaper by Nathan Larson captures the quiet, expansive atmosphere of the desert landscape. The composition focuses on prickly pear cacti and delicate desert shrubs in the foreground, set against the soft, sun-washed silhouette of distant mountain peaks. Rendered in a warm, muted palette of dusty sage greens, sandy beige, soft ochre, and warm blush-tinted haze, the design creates a spacious and grounding backdrop on the wall. Made-to-measure to fit your room's exact dimensions, our PVC-free wallpapers are printed on a slightly structured paper that is straightforward to hang.

In the room

We love this mural wallpaper on a wide, uninterrupted wall where the full horizontal landscape and mountain horizon can unfold naturally. In a living room, it works beautifully behind a sofa, creating an open and scenic focal point without overwhelming the space. In a bedroom, placing this design behind the headboard brings an earthy, serene presence that suits larger and compact spaces alike. Because the upper portion of the design consists of a light, open sky and soft mountain haze, it helps maintain a feeling of airiness even in rooms with lower ceilings.

Styling it

The warm, sun-baked tones and organic landscape in this wall mural pair naturally with understated, earthy interior schemes. We would lean toward warm, natural wood furniture such as oak or teak, which complements the warm beige and terracotta-adjacent undertones of the terrain. Low-profile furniture keeps the foreground vegetation visible and allows the eye to travel freely into the background. For larger upholstered pieces and curtains, unbleached, warm neutral fabrics or soft woven textures help maintain the calm, tactile balance of the room without competing with the detailed desert flora.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built on gentle sage greens, sunlit sandy tans, soft taupe, and pale ochre, surrounded by a luminous warm ivory and hazy blush sky. To build a cohesive room around it, we suggest carrying warm off-whites, soft creams, or pale sandy beige onto adjacent walls and architectural trim. For accent pieces or soft furnishings, muted olive, dusty terracotta, or warm caramel tones tie in effortlessly with the sun-drenched desert vegetation.
