Wallpaper - Early Summer Buck

Our Early Summer Buck wallpaper, created in collaboration with Nathan Larson, captures a calm wildlife scene in a vintage photographic style. The composition centers on a young buck resting among tall meadow grasses and textured shrubbery, rendered in warm sepia and muted monochrome tones with gentle antique aging across the frame. What we particularly appreciate about this mural wallpaper is its quiet focal point and atmospheric depth, creating an evocative natural landscape across the wall. Made-to-measure to your exact wall dimensions, our wallpapers are PVC-free with a subtle physical structure in the paper.

In the room

Because the buck forms a distinct central focus surrounded by open meadow, we see this wall mural working particularly well on a main feature wall where the subject can remain unobstructed. In a living room behind a low sofa or in a bedroom behind a headboard, the horizon line creates a grounded feel while the soft focus in the background adds visual breathing space. For a home office, study, or library, the restrained monochromatic palette offers a tranquil backdrop that adds character without competing for attention.

Styling it

We recommend pairing this design with natural materials and grounded furniture to complement its rustic, photographic character. Warm wood tones such as walnut, stained oak, or antique pine harmonize naturally with the sepia and charcoal values in the print. To maintain balance, keep larger upholstered furniture relatively simple and solid in texture, allowing the fine detail of the grassy field to remain the primary visual focus of the space.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built on a quiet tonal foundation of warm charcoal, soft off-white, muted sepia, and earthy grey. Around it, we suggest using warm neutrals such as creamy whites, soft taupe, or weathered stone on surrounding walls and trim. If you want to introduce deeper contrast, rich forest greens, espresso browns, or muted ochre accents can draw out the natural woodland warmth without overwhelming the gentle tone of the image.
