Wallpaper - Woodland Beaver

Our Woodland Beaver wallpaper, created by artist June Erica Vess, brings a charming and expressive animal portrait straight to your wall. Rendered with broad, painterly brushstrokes, the motif features a curious beaver rendered in rich tones of warm chestnut, rust brown, cream, and charcoal, set against a stippled sky-blue background. The close-up composition gives the character an engaging presence, while visible paint textures lend the artwork an authentic, hand-painted appearance. Produced as made-to-measure mural wallpapers on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, our wallpaper creates an inviting, characterful statement across any feature wall.

In the room

Because of its bold portrait composition and expressive character, we see this wall mural working particularly well as an accent wall in a nursery, children's bedroom, or playroom. The large scale of the beaver motif makes it an immediate focal point, so we would place it on a relatively open wall where the face is not hidden behind tall wardrobes or high shelving. In a family room or creative home study, it adds warmth and a touch of playful nature without feeling overly formal. On a feature wall behind a low bed frame or a reading nook, the contrast between the rich brown fur and the vibrant blue background creates an engaging visual backdrop.

Styling it

When styling around this design, we suggest keeping the surrounding furniture simple and letting the mural wallpaper take center stage.

• Warm wood furniture, such as natural pine, birch, or light oak, complements the earthy rust and chestnut tones in the beaver's coat without competing for attention.
• Soft textiles in muted blues, warm terracotta, or oatmeal balance the saturated sky-blue background and keep the room grounded.
• Low-profile furniture and open shelving allow the full portrait and painterly texture of the wall mural to remain visible across the room.

Colour combinations

The palette of our wallpaper is anchored by the contrast between deep chestnut brown, warm ochre, soft beige, and a vibrant sky blue. To build a cohesive room around it, we recommend drawing from these tones for your adjacent walls and trim. A soft sand, warm off-white, or muted biscuit on neighboring walls provides a gentle transition that allows the blue background of the mural to pop. If you prefer a bolder, cooler interior, pairing the wallpaper with a soft slate blue or chalky denim on surrounding woodwork brings out the freshness of the backdrop.
