Wallpaper - Cheetah Mates II

Our Cheetah Mates II wallpaper by Yvette St. Amant brings together two seated cheetahs flanked by decorative blue-and-white porcelain vases against a rich green botanical backdrop. Soft pink blossoms and lush painted foliage surround the central figures, creating a lively decorative scene with a distinct hand-painted character. The warm ochre and black spots of the cheetahs contrast against the crisp cobalt patterns of the ceramic vases and the layered green backdrop. Produced made-to-measure on our PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure, this design is straightforward to hang and serves as an expressive statement for your interior.

In the room

Because of its strong central composition and prominent figurative subjects, this wall mural works exceptionally well on an accent wall where the motif has space to be appreciated in full. We see this wallpaper working beautifully on a main living room wall behind a sofa, where the height of the vases and seated cheetahs naturally anchors the seating area. In a dining room, it creates an engaging backdrop around a dining table, introducing visual warmth and narrative interest without requiring heavy decorative additions on the surrounding walls.

The mural wallpapers format also makes this design a striking choice for an entryway or hallway, where visitors are greeted immediately by the paired cheetahs. In a bedroom, placing this design behind a lower headboard ensures the upper half of the motif, including the cheetahs' expressive faces, the porcelain vessels, and the pink floral details, remains clearly in view.

Styling it

When styling around this wallpaper, we suggest balancing its illustrative detail with clean-lined furniture and thoughtful material choices:

• Balance the strong motif by choosing furniture with simpler silhouettes, such as warm wood credenzas or painted sideboards that do not compete with the pattern.
• Introduce classic ceramic accents or tableware in solid cobalt or crisp white to echo the blue-and-white porcelain vases in the design.
• Keep surrounding drapery and upholstery in solid tones, such as unpatterned natural fabrics in deep forest green, navy, or soft blush, to support the mural without visual clutter.

Colour combinations

The palette of our wallpaper is anchored by deep botanical greens, warm ochre tones, and classic cobalt blue against clean white porcelain, accented by small touches of soft pink.

To create a cohesive scheme, we recommend pairing this design with off-white or muted cream paint on adjacent walls, which mirrors the white ground of the ceramic vases. For a moodier, enveloping feel, you can draw from the background foliage and use a deep hunter green or rich olive on surrounding walls and trim. Navy blue also serves as a sophisticated accent color for painted woodwork or larger furniture pieces, reinforcing the decorative blue motifs in the vases.
