Wallpaper - Electron Storm I

Our Electron Storm I wallpaper by June Erica Vess brings together fluid abstract washes in deep slate blue, warm ochre, muted sage, and charcoal grey, set against an off-white background. The composition features translucent, ink-like pools and expressive brushwork balanced by soft pencil-like scribbles and splatters, creating a painterly mural design with artistic depth. Printed to order as made-to-measure wallpaper on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, it offers a distinct, gallery-like focal point for contemporary interiors.

In the room

Because of the sweeping, asymmetric movement of the motif, we see this working particularly well on a main feature wall where the composition has space to breathe. In a living room or behind a bed, placing the mural on an open, relatively uninterrupted wall allows the balance between dense color washes and open negative space to stand out clearly. The design also adds an expressive presence to a dining room or home study, bringing visual interest without overwhelming the entire space.

Styling it

To let the dynamic painting take center stage, we suggest pairing it with clean-lined contemporary furniture in quiet neutral tones. Natural oak or walnut pieces bring out the warm ochre and earthy accents in the artwork, while accents in charcoal or matte black echo the darker linear scribbles. Keeping surrounding upholstery and rugs understated in soft cream or textured grey ensures the wall mural remains the natural anchor of the room.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built on a rich mix of inky denim blue, mustard ochre, olive-tinted charcoal, and hazy off-white. When choosing paint or accents for adjacent surfaces, warm off-whites and pale stone greys keep the surrounding room bright and cohesive. For a deeper, more enveloping mood, drawing out the slate blue or charcoal on trim, doors, or cabinetry creates an intentional and sophisticated tonal link.
