Wallpaper - Eyes Are Watching V

Our Eyes Are Watching V wallpaper brings together a central vintage engraving-style eye illustration framed by ornate architectural scrollwork, classical corner flourishes, and an illustrated wooden moulding border. Created by Wild Apple Portfolio, this design pairs intricate cross-hatching and linework with a muted palette of aged parchment cream, slate blue, sage teal, and warm timber tones. The composition feels like a rare collector's specimen or a historic ceiling cartouche brought to the wall. Like all Wallism wallpapers, it is custom made to your dimensions on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper structure, offering an intriguing focal point for curious interior spaces.

In the room

Because of its strong, centred emblem and defined outer framing, we see this design working exceptionally well as an accent wall where the motif can sit without heavy visual interruption. In a study, library, or home office, placing it directly behind a desk or reading nook highlights the curious, intellectual character of the engraving.

In a hallway, entryway, or dining room, it introduces an immediate talking point. If you have higher ceilings or architectural wall panelling, the framing of the artwork sits comfortably within classical proportions. We recommend keeping taller furniture away from the centre of the wall so the fine detail of the eye and surrounding scrollwork remain fully visible.

Styling it

The historic, illustrative quality of this design pairs naturally with spaces that embrace vintage, eclectic, or dark academia aesthetics. We would style it alongside warm wooden furniture in walnut, antique oak, or dark mahogany, which echoes the painted wood border within the print.

To complement the detailed linework without crowding the wall, keep surrounding furnishings relatively tailored. Upholstery in deep velvet or classic linen works well, while antique brass accents, vintage desk lamps, and curated bookshelves reinforce its scholarly atmosphere.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built on a base of aged cream and warm wood tones, accented by charcoal linework, soft slate blue, and pale sage green flourishes.

When choosing paint for adjacent walls or trim, consider soft muted neutrals that pull from the parchment background to let the wall mural stand out. For a moodier, enveloping room, pairing it with deep slate blue, charcoal, or warm umber creates a rich, cohesive setting that draws out the darkest tones of the engraving.
