Wallpaper - Wild Ride II

Created by Nikita Jariwala, our Wild Ride II wallpaper brings an expressive, abstracted take on horses into the room through layered shapes and earthy tones. Broad planes of sage green, moss, warm sand, and soft off-white interlock to form the dynamic silhouettes of horses in motion, giving the motif an artistic, printmakerly character. The fluid, painterly outlines create continuous movement across the wall without overwhelming the space. Like all our mural wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure to fit your wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper structure.

In the room

Because of the sweeping contours and larger scale of the horses, we think this design works particularly well on an uninterrupted wall in a living room, dining space, or bedroom. Giving the motif room across a wider wall allows the interplay between the overlapping forms to be appreciated as a complete composition. In an entryway or creative home office, it can serve as a focused accent wall behind a low credenza or desk, where the artwork remains clearly in view.

Styling it

The balanced, nature-inspired palette makes our wallpaper easy to harmonize with understated modern furnishings. We suggest keeping surrounding furniture shapes relatively simple with clean silhouettes in warm wood tones, such as oak or mid-toned timber, to complement the sandy ochre shades in the print.

For surrounding soft elements, low-profile upholstery in muted linen or textured woven fabrics helps anchor the room while letting the graphic movement of the wall murals lead the visual interest. Simple ceramics and matte accents in stone or blackened iron introduce subtle contrast without competing with the rhythm of the artwork.

Colour combinations

Our design draws on a grounding palette of olive and moss greens, cool sage, sandy tan, and creamy white accents against a muted grey-green ground.

When choosing paint colors for adjacent walls and woodwork, warm off-white or light parchment tones provide a calm continuation that keeps the room open and airy. For a deeper, more enveloping feel, pulling out the muted olive green or soft putty grey on baseboards or adjoining surfaces highlights the graphic structure of the horses.
