Wallpaper - Burnt Horizon I

Our Burnt Horizon I wallpaper, created by Nikita Jariwala, brings a layered abstract landscape into the room through sweeping, painterly brushwork. The composition builds gentle depth with rolling horizontal ridges in warm terracotta, sun-baked sand, soft peach, muted ochre, and gentle stone greys against a pale, warm sky. The visible painted brushstrokes give the scenic motif an expressive, artistic character across the wall without overwhelming the space. Like all Wallism wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure to your exact wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

We especially like this design on a wide, uninterrupted wall where the full horizontal flow of the layered ridges has space to unfold. In a living room, placing this mural wallpaper behind a low sofa lets the sweeping peaks and warm horizon line anchor the seating area naturally. It also works beautifully across a bedroom feature wall behind the bed, where the warm, earthy tones create a grounded backdrop without demanding high contrast. Because the motif is arranged in broad horizontal bands, it helps draw the eye across the room, making it well suited to open-plan living areas or dining rooms where you want visual continuity along a main wall.

Styling it

When styling around Burnt Horizon I, we suggest keeping the surrounding furniture silhouettes relatively low and clean-lined so the rhythm of the landscape remains visible. Warm wood tones such as ash, bleached oak, or light walnut harmonize naturally with the earthy pigments in the artwork.

To complement the painterly brushwork, we like pairing this wall mural with textured fabrics such as slubby linen, woven bouclé, or wool throws in off-white, oat, or dusty blush. Matte ceramic accents and understated dark iron or brushed brass hardware can add subtle definition without competing with the soft gradient of the hills.

Colour combinations

Our wallpaper features a balanced palette of terracotta, warm sand, dusty peach, mustard ochre, soft taupe, and pale blush grey. When choosing paint for adjoining walls or woodwork, creamy warm whites, soft travertine tones, or muted beige provide a seamless transition that lets the wallpaper lead. If you prefer more contrast, introducing a deeper clay red, muted cinnamon, or charcoal accent through cushions, rugs, or architectural trim will pick up on the darker brushwork in the lower ridges.
