Wallpaper - Happy Rose

Our Happy Rose wallpaper by Kristy Rice presents a vivid floral composition defined by loose, expressive brushstrokes and a painterly watercolor feel. At the center sits a blooming rose in shades of coral, deep pink, and crimson, surrounded by smaller buds and foliage rendered in deep olive, forest green, and slate blue. Set against a clean, luminous white ground, the botanical elements maintain a generous sense of openness and airy movement. Like all Wallism mural wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure to fit your specific wall dimensions on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure.

In the room

Because of the graphic clarity between the vibrant botanical motif and the bright background, we see this working well on a feature wall where the central illustration has breathing space. In a bedroom, placing this design behind a headboard creates an artistic focal point that remains fresh rather than overpowering. In an entryway or dressing room, the crisp contrast and upward floral rhythm bring energy to compact spaces without visually closing them in.

On larger uninterrupted walls in a dining area or living space, the open spacing allows surrounding furniture to sit naturally around the artwork without cluttering the view. The clean white base ensures the room retains an expansive, airy feel even when paired with deeper accent tones.

Styling it

We would keep the surrounding decor relatively simple to let the expressive watercolor motif take center stage. Clean-lined furniture in painted white, light birch, or bleached ash complements the modern floral aesthetic without introducing visual competition. For larger textiles, smooth neutral cotton or lightweight drapery in soft ivory keeps the overall room balance light and breezy.

If you want to bring out the artwork's deeper tones, introduce small accents in matte black or dark slate through picture frames, slim lighting fixtures, or accent chairs. This grounds the brighter pinks and greens while echoing the darker leaf details in the illustration.

Colour combinations

The motif centers on vibrant coral, fuchsia, soft pink, and deep cherry red, framed by contrasting foliage in eucalyptus green, dark spruce, and hints of muted indigo against an off-white background.

When choosing paint colors for adjacent walls or trim, a warm off-white or very soft pale alabaster seamlessly extends the wallpaper's light backdrop. To create a cozier contrast, consider pulling the muted slate blue or dusty olive from the leaf details onto nearby painted doors, wainscoting, or cabinetry. Soft blush or rose accents also work well in smaller decorative accessories to gently mirror the petals.
