Wallpaper - Lakeside V

Designed by Leslie Trimbach, our Lakeside V wallpaper captures a relaxed lakeside scene centered around the phrase "the LAKE is calling" in bold hand-lettered type. The composition brings together classic freshwater wildlife and waterside motifs, including a loon stretching its wings across gentle ripples, a mallard duck in flight, water lilies floating among pads, striped wooden fishing buoys, and clusters of wild blueberries. Soft watercolor-like washes of slate blue, forest green, warm taupe, and pale cream create the serene backdrop of distant hills and pine-fringed water, framed by subtle braided borders at the top and bottom. Printed to your exact dimensions on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper structure, our mural wallpapers bring an inviting, rustic charm to your home.

In the room

We love seeing this design used on a primary accent wall where the central lettering and lake motifs have space to stand out. In a cozy living room, guest room, or entryway, the balanced layout works naturally behind a low bench, console, or sofa that leaves the artwork unobstructed. The gentle watercolor tones and open, light ground make it equally appealing in a hallway, mudroom, or lakeside cabin bedroom, bringing a clear sense of rustic tranquility without overwhelming the room.

Styling it

To complement the outdoorsy, handcrafted look of our wall murals, we suggest pairing this design with natural materials and simple rustic silhouettes:

• Pair the wallpaper with light or warm-toned woods like pine, birch, or white oak to echo the serene forest and water tones.
• Introduce woven textures such as braided jute rugs, linen cushions, or canvas baskets to harmonize with the top and bottom border motifs.
• Incorporate matte black, aged bronze, or forged iron hardware on lighting and furniture to provide a crisp contrast against the soft watercolor palette.

Colour combinations

The design is built upon a delicate palette of slate blue, soft lake greens, earthy taupes, muted navy, and warm off-white, accented with deep blue blueberries and pale water lily petals. When decorating the rest of the space, consider carrying the muted slate or navy onto adjacent doors, trims, or wainscoting for a cohesive, grounded look. Alternatively, keeping the surrounding walls in soft off-white, warm cream, or light sandy beige lets the colors of the wallpaper remain the focal point.
