Wallpaper - Timeworn Timber

Our Timeworn Timber wallpaper mural brings together vertical wooden planks with varied grains, knots, and weathered visual textures. What we particularly appreciate about this design is the rich interplay of tones, running from warm honey and deep walnut brown to muted charcoal and weathered grey. The vertical rhythm of narrow and wider boards creates a rustic, architectural backdrop that adds warmth and character across a full feature wall. Printed custom made to your dimensions, our wallpapers are PVC-free and feature a subtle physical structure in the paper.

In the room

We see this design working especially well in a dining room, living room, or entryway where the vertical board layout can anchor the space. On an uninterrupted wall behind a dining table or sofa, the full variety of wood grains and tones has space to unfold without feeling crowded. In a hallway or home office, the vertical direction of the planks can create a grounded, textured feel that balances simple modern fixtures. Because the visual pattern has rich detail and darker plank accents, pairing it with rooms that receive good natural daylight helps highlight the finer grain details and warm undertones.

Styling it

To balance the strong visual character of the timber pattern, we recommend keeping surrounding furniture relatively clean-lined and understated. Contemporary furniture with matte black metal accents or deep bronze finishes echoes the darker boards in the wallpaper without competing with them. Upholstery in warm neutral fabrics, such as coarse oatmeal or charcoal grey, softens the space while letting the wall mural remain the primary visual focus.

Colour combinations

The design features a varied palette of warm golden-brown, rich chocolate, muted taupe, and deep charcoal. For adjacent painted walls, we like pairing this wallpaper with soft off-white, warm stone, or muted earthy beige to keep the room feeling balanced and open. If you want a moodier, more atmospheric setting, a deep charcoal grey or warm forest green on surrounding walls or cabinetry connects naturally with the darkest wood tones in the pattern.
