Wallpaper - Cruche et Fleur de Printemps

Cruche et Fleur de Printemps brings a quiet still life into large-scale interior design. Created by Deborah Revell, this wallpaper captures delicate spring blossoms cascading gently over a ceramic pitcher in soft, sepia-toned monochrome. What we particularly like is the intimate photographic scale, where the soft gradations of cream, warm beige, and faded charcoal create a nostalgic, painterly atmosphere. Our wallpapers are made-to-measure to fit your wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical structure.

In the room

Because of the close-up, photographic composition, we see this wall mural working best as a dedicated focal point on a clear, uninterrupted wall. In a dining room or living space, placing it on the primary wall behind a sideboard or low-profile credenza allows the soft contours of the pitcher and delicate petals to remain visible without competition. The oversized scale of the floral detail gives smaller spaces, like a quiet study or an entryway, an immediate sense of intimacy without overwhelming the room with dense pattern.

In bedrooms, we would position this mural behind the bed to serve as a calming visual backdrop. The subdued monochrome tones soften the transition between daylight and evening light, catching soft lamplight beautifully across the pale petals and neutral background.

Styling it

To complement the photographic stillness of this design, we recommend pairing it with materials that echo its gentle tonal palette.

Warm wood tones like natural oak, bleached ash, or honeyed teak work well against the warm sepia ground, grounding the softness of the image with organic texture. For surrounding textiles, heavy linen drapes, washed cotton bedding, or a flat-weave wool rug in oat or off-white help maintain a quiet, tactile atmosphere. Keeping furniture silhouettes simple and unadorned ensures the focal point stays on the oversized botanical motif.

Colour combinations

The palette in our wallpaper relies on subtle, neutral transitions between warm cream, bone white, soft biscuit, and muted charcoal shadows.

When choosing paint colours for adjacent walls and woodwork, warm off-whites, soft linen tones, or light greige create a seamless, cohesive flow throughout the room. If you prefer more definition, deep slate grey, warm taupe, or dark espresso brown on surrounding architectural trim or furniture pieces can pick up on the darker tones found in the stems and stamen of the flowers.
