Wallpaper - I Miss You

Designed by Kate Jarvik Birch, our I Miss You wallpaper features a playful trompe l'oeil motif of a crumpled piece of torn notebook paper taped against a vibrant turquoise background. The handwritten message "I miss you!" sits across faint blue lines and a pink margin, captured with expressive watercolor-like shading, deep cast shadows, and translucent tape detailing. As mural wallpapers that make a bold, graphic statement, our wallpapers are made-to-measure to fit your wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

We see this wallpaper working especially well as an expressive feature wall in a creative home office, study, hallway, or teenage bedroom. Because the central note is a distinct, large-scale visual focal point, we recommend placing it on a relatively open wall where the composition can be enjoyed without too much visual interruption. In a study or workspace, hanging this design behind a clean-lined desk brings warmth, humor, and an intimate personal feel to the area. For a guest bedroom or entryway, it adds an instant conversational element that greets anyone walking into the room.

Styling it

To let the graphic personality of this design take center stage, we would pair it with straightforward furniture and minimal visual clutter. Modern pieces with crisp silhouettes, such as a white painted desk, light birch accents, or a simple contemporary shelving unit, allow the trompe l'oeil artwork to pop without competition. In a bedroom or office nook, keeping surrounding textiles understated and solid helps balance the expressive energy of the mural.

Colour combinations

The motif centers on a rich turquoise backdrop, paired with crisp paper whites, soft grayish-blue folds, deep navy ink, and a subtle touch of pink from the ruled margin line. For surrounding walls and woodwork, a clean bright white or an airy pale blue creates a fresh, cohesive atmosphere. If you prefer to draw on the vivid ground color, deep teal, navy, or soft coral accents in decorative objects or soft furnishings provide an engaging contrast.
