Wallpaper - Shellfish Social VI

Designed by Veronique Charron, our Shellfish Social VI wallpaper brings together folk-art charm and Mediterranean ceramic tile aesthetics. The composition centers on a framed panel featuring three speckled blue and sea-green fish with warm orange-red fins, bordered by delicate wave scrolls and bold framing lines. Surrounding this focal vignette is an intricate geometric tile pattern of interlocking blue petal motifs and stylized orange-red florets set against a warm, creamy off-white background. Our custom made wall murals are produced to your specific wall dimensions, printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper texture that enhances the painted character of the artwork.

In the room

We see this design working beautifully as a characterful accent wall in an open dining area, a cheerful kitchen, or a welcoming entryway. Because the central fish motif forms a defined focal panel framed by decorative geometric repeats, it naturally anchors a space when given an uninterrupted wall. Positioning the design behind a dining table, a low sideboard, or along a kitchen breakfast nook allows the centerpiece to remain fully visible while the geometric background pattern carries rhythm across the rest of the wall. In smaller spaces like a pantry or powder room, the crisp contrast between the blue and terracotta-red tones brings a lively, curated energy without overwhelming the room.

Styling it

To complement the artisanal tile aesthetic, we would pair this wallpaper with simple, rustic materials and clean-lined furniture:

• Choose warm natural wood dining tables or cabinetry in oak or pine, which echo the earthy warmth of the red and orange accents.
• Introduce neutral textured textiles like unbleached linen seat cushions or woven placemats to soften the graphic pattern while keeping the visual focus on the wall.
• Incorporate glazed ceramic tableware, terracotta planters, or simple wrought iron and matte black fixtures that reflect the Mediterranean tilework inspiration.

Colour combinations

The design is built around classic Mediterranean shades: soft denim and cobalt blues, seafoam green, rich coral-red, and warm cream. When planning your surrounding palette, crisp off-white or soft cream on adjacent walls will seamlessly extend the background tone of the mural. If you prefer a richer contrast, painting trim or lower wainscoting in a muted navy or slate blue ties directly into the fish illustration, while subtle terracotta accents in pottery or upholstery will pick up the warm floral details throughout the pattern.
